WHO WE ARE

Akwa Esop Imaisong Ibibio U. S. A. Inc. is organized by Ibibio indigenes resident in the United States of America. It operates exclusively for charitable, religious, educational cultural and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(C)3 of Internal Revenue Code.

AKWA ESOP PURPOSE

Promote love and unity among/between Ibibio people worldwide; other groups of people in Akwa Ibom, Nigeria and our host country, the United States of America.

Work as a group for the advancement of lbibio culture, tradition and identity.

Research into and publish all aspects of the history, culture, economic and social life of Ibibio people.

Seek and identify special talents in Ibibio people with a view to developing such talents through scholarship and apprenticeship.

Promote the study of lbibio language oral and written

Generate in members a life of unimpeachable integrity and industry and a healthy feeling of fraternity and patriotism.

Initiate, promote and encourage community development projects.

Work in full harmony with the local, state and federal authorities in the realization of our developmental objectives.

Empower the youth to be self-reliant, productive and respectable citizens in society

Educate our youths on our traditional values, native laws and customs and inculcate in them the spirit of leadership, entrepreneurship and respect for constituted authorities.

Educate our citizens on their fundamental human rights and advocate for fair play and justice.

Encourage participation in communal and humanitarian services such as healthcare delivery, sanitation and personal hygiene, food drive and habitat.

Undertake any other course of action incidental to the attainment of the above aims and objectives.
